Rector
Tenure on the Post 1928 - 1933
Preceded By Rev. F.V. Dawkins
Succeeded By Mr. L.J. Goddard
In Memory Pelly's

The Reverend Pelley was not an effectual Rector - more a congregational type than a school administrator. During his tenure of Rectorship, discipline was lax. The Reverend RL Pelly, a dreamy, devout (but impractical) administrator; had a flair for making even the dullest subjects interesting. The Reverend Pelly was an outstanding FIVES player.

Importance[edit]

Rev. Pelly, whose stint at School was of 5 years initiated the ground levelling for the building of the new Chapel. Unfortunately, his continuing ill health did not afford him the opportunity of seeing the chapel project completed.
